Blossoming at Home was born from a deep longing of sharing the beauty we can find in our day-to-day. Doing so hasn’t been easy and that’s precisely why I want to share this with you, so you can also find beauty in your life, no matter how hard, painful, or lonely it might be sometimes. This project was inspired by my mother, María Milagros Pozo, a beautiful and lovely daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend who loved deeply, lived passionately, and was able to find and share beauty in the ordinary things in her life. From her cooking to the flowers in her garden, she was able to make a place feel like home. My mother has been my source of inspiration to also find God in what I sometimes saw as small and insignificant. She is the reason why this project was born. My mom is resting in the house of the Father now, and to me, this blog is a way to honor her. I know she has been interceding for this project since God put this dream in my heart and I also ask her to pray for you and me. A prayer for her will also be highly appreciated. ❤️
To be honest, this project was initially going to be focused on finding beauty in the ordinary external things in life: home decor, recipes, activities with family and friends, DIY projects, etc. It can be easy and comfortable to stay in the surface, isn’t it? However, God had a different plan for this. Even though the blog still includes some of these good topics, it has evolved into something much deeper and meaningful. It has become about finding beauty, healing, and purpose in the deepest parts of our lives, those that are painful to look at, those we sometimes stay away from, those that we hide, even from God. May God bring so much light, healing, hope, and consolation into those places in your life where there can be so much hurt, confusion, and loneliness.
In Blossoming at Home I share parts of my heart and story with you, hoping to help you carry your cross even if it’s a little bit, reminding you that you are not alone. This will be a place for you to pause, to open your heart, and let God reveal and pour into you his endless love for you.
Finding beauty in the ordinary has the power to transform our lives and the ones of our loved ones. Let’s find it together.
Fun fact: all pictures used in this website were taken and edited by me! 😊
Here are some pictures of my mom (“Amoh mío”, as I used to call her).
